If you’re listing any property for sale with a licensed real estate agent from 1 January 2019 be aware that under new legislation real estate agents are required to conduct “Customer Due Diligence” as set out under the NZ Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.
This will mean providing your listing agent with certain forms of identification prior to signing an agency agreement.

This will apply to all sellers of NZ real estate.
